Boîte à Lunch NDG

An after-school program for youth that builds cooking skills, nutrition knowledge and healthy eating habits!

Boîte à Lunch is our fun, hands-on after-school program where youth develop a healthy relationship to food by learning cooking skills, building nutrition knowledge, and making their own meals and snacks.   We work to enable youth to build healthy relationships to food, and to reinforce the food security of their families.  Our elementary workshops are open to students in grades 4 and 5, where participants prepare a healthy meal to bring for lunch the next day as well as participate in interactive activities about nutrition and food systems.  Registration occurs twice yearly in September and January.

Our high school workshops are open to teens ages 13 to 17. Teen participants prepare and enjoy a healthy meal together, practice their language skills, learn how to be more critical consumers and reinforce their autonomy and self-confidence. The teen workshops run from October to April yearly, and run on a drop-in basis with up to 12 participants each week (registration required).

We also offer activities for classrooms and summer camps.
