COLLECTIVE GARDENS
By joining, you can:
- Learn and share gardening knowledge with support from The Depot’s experienced team
- Take home fresh, nourishing food

- Build friendships, connect with others, and contribute to your community

Ways to participate:
- Weekly commitment: Join a collective garden for the full growing season (April - October)
- Flexible options: Volunteer or drop in when you can

Please note, this program is heavily subsidized, so it can remain open to everyone. Over 26 weeks, participants receive access to produce, garden space, materials, and staff support at a true cost far above the $10–$400 registration contribution. If you’re able, choosing a higher contribution helps ensure others can take part. If you cannot pay, please speak with a staff member — no one is turned away due to lack of funds.

- St-Raymond Community Garden: At 5605 Upper Lachine, behind Habitations St-Raymond
- NDG Community Garden: On Royal Ave. between Terrebonne St. and Monkland Ave.
- Rencontres Community Garden: At the corner of Botrel St. and Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Ave.
- Châteaufort Community Garden: At the corner of Darlington Ave. and Van Horne Ave.
- De La Savane Community Garden: In Parc de la Savane, near Paré St.
By joining, you can:
- Grow your own fruits, vegetables, and herbs
- Learn gardening skills with support from The Depot’s team
- Connect with neighbours and share knowledge
- Enjoy time outdoors in a welcoming community space
Eligibility:
You must live in Montreal. If you live in another municipality (e.g., Côte-Saint-Luc), please check their local programs.
How to join the waiting list:
Community gardens are very popular and wait times are long (5–9 years). To add your name to the waitlist, either:
- Download the Waitlist Form and email the completed form to jardins.communautaires@depotmtl.org
- If you are unable to complete the form and email it, you can come to The Depot during office hours, and a staff member can help you complete the form
