“Before I participated in the collective gardens, I did not feel I was a part of the neighbourhood community, but after I participated for a few years, I know more people in the neighbourhood and feel more connected and happier living here.”

At The Depot, our garden programs make fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs more accessible. Through collective gardening, school programs, and public workshops, we create spaces to reconnect with growing food, share skills, and build community.
Collective gardens are shared green spaces where people gather to grow, care for, and harvest food together. Guided by a member of The Depot team, you’ll meet weekly to learn new skills, work side by side, and share in the harvest.

If you’re able, choosing a higher contribution helps ensure others can take part. If you cannot pay, please speak with a staff member — no one is turned away due to lack of funds.

The Depot manages individual garden plots in five community gardens across Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (NDG) and Côte-des-Neiges (CDN), in partnership with the CDN–NDG borough.
