Tips for your cover letter

Your cover letter is your chance to introduce yourself. Keep it polished and speak in your own voice. We want to get a sense of who you are and what excites you about this role.

Who you are.

Share your background, experiences, and what makes you want to be part of The Depot.

Why The Depot?

Tell us what connects you to our mission and values, and why this role feels meaningful to you.

What you’ll bring.

Highlight the skills, perspectives, and lived experiences you carry, and how you see yourself contributing to an inclusive, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive workplace.

Be yourself.

We don’t need a “perfect” letter — we want to hear your heart, your voice, and your enthusiasm.

“I’m genuinely glad to be part of an organization that not only does important work, but does it with intention, with heart, and with a real sense of responsibility to the people it serves.”
